Clear Creek Forest

Settle in to country living in the charming Clear Creek neighborhood of Magnolia, Texas located 20 miles southwest of Conroe. The community dates back to 1986 and has undergone continual development.  Two nearby parks can be enjoyed by residents. Unity Park is not only a municipal park, its 30-acre location is also a wildlife preserve. A second park, The Stroll, is known as the Magnolia Town Center, as it hosts events throughout the year and promotes and celebrates local businesses. The two parks are only .7 miles apart and can be traveled easily by foot.

Once known as Mink, Texas, Magnolia became the official name for this close-knit community of Montgomery County in 1903. Sawmills, general stores, blacksmiths, and a railroad depot gave way to a flourishing community. Originally recognized as a shipping center for lumber, farm products, and cattle, the slight population of just 25 has grown to over 2,200 residents.

At the heart of the city of Magnolia is an original structure known as The Depot. Though it has been moved from its original location, The Depot maintains its historic integrity adding to the charm of the city. Today it serves as a public facility for community members, operated by the Magnolia Historical Society.  Depot Day is an annual event held each April to celebrate the city of Magnolia. Residents and friends can enjoy entertainers, crafts, food, and auctions. Magnolia is also known as the official host city for the annual Texas Renaissance Festival held in late October and early November.
