Pipers Meadow

Pipers Meadow

Piper’s Meadow is a charming neighborhood located in Harris County’s city of Webster. The neighborhood features lovely one- and two-story homes on tree lined streets. Pipers Meadow Community Center provides opportunities for residents to get to know each other as they enjoy such amenities as a recreation center, playground, pool, basketball court, tennis courts, and a covered picnic area. The Community Center is private to Piper’s Meadow residents and their guests.

Founded by James W. Webster in 1879, the city of Webster was originally called Gardentown. Webster brought English colonists to settle the area. The city grew slowly even after the discovery of oil in the early 1900s at the Webster-Friendswood oilfields. In 1961, with the construction of Johnson Space Center, the city population boomed. Today, Webster is a thriving community of over 12,000.

Webster is nestled between Houston and Galveston, and the neighborhood of Piper’s Meadow rests near I-45, making access to Beltway 8 an easy route for navigating through Houston and other areas to the north. Heading south on I-45 will take you through League City and onto Galveston.

Piper’s Meadow boasts a small-town community surrounded by plenty of businesses and amenities. With a short drive, many enjoy visiting Space Center Houston, a science and space exploration center for kids of all ages. Hundreds of space artifacts are featured in the educational complex and space museum. Only about nine miles from the neighborhood is the Kemah Boardwalk where you can enjoy a fabulous amusement park, dining, and shopping.

You can stay close to home with amenities just outside Piper’s Meadow. Enjoy some indoor entertainment at Main Event where you can spend hours bowling and playing video games or laser tag. Take in a movie at Cinemark 18, or improve your swing at Topgolf Webster. For outdoor fun, there are many public parks around town including Webster Park, Kent Park, and Abraham Lincoln Park. Sandbar Park offers access to Lake Ontario and Irondequoit Bay. It’s a great place for a picnic with a view of the water! Living in Piper’s Meadow means endless opportunities for enjoyment.
